Kathy O'Shannessy

Kathleen (Kathy) OShannessy was born in Kempsey, NSW where her interest in art began to intensify during her formative high school years.

Although she has been pursuing a career in art since 1970, it wasnt until she discovered she had a flair for painting in acrylics, that she achieved her first major award in the early 90s at the Royal Agricultural Society, Easter Art Show, and hasnt looked back since. - Artist Information

Vanessa Berry

Drawing and painting have been a language for me since I could scrawl with a crayon. I continue to try to find my voice through colour, composition, contrast, line, shape and texture. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums - paint, pastel, collage, ink and charcoal.

The images evolve in my art, triggered by anything - an idea, an emotion, a sound, a colour. Bringing cohesion and visual resonance to the feelings is what I strive to do, an odd mix of inspiration and the technique to give it life. If my paintings connect with others, giving them something, then I have succeeded.

Yuriko Goon

The subject of my painting is invariably the female figure.

This passion for the female form has probably developed from my love of all things feminine and pleasing to the eye, and my belief that being female gives me the ability to have a particular feeling for or sensitivity to the mood set by certain poses. This mood is then reflected in my figures to give a sense of sophistication and sensuality.
