Echo Chai
Echo was born in 1965 in Beijing, China.
Graduating from Peking University with Bachelor Degree in Literature, she
arrived in Melbourne in 1989.
Echo is a writer and an artist. As a writer, she published her book 'Melbourne:
The Illusion of The Century' and
writes columns for the media in both Australia and China.
Echo began training in oil painting with highly commended artist Fu Hong
from 2003 and has since successfully entered art shows throughout Victoria,
including the Melbourne Affordable Art Show.
Her painting 'Iris in Garden' won the Finalist in Australian Artist magazines
Art Prize Challenge No.15,
issue March, 2004.
Echo's work 'Autumn' won the 'Best Work in Show' at the Strathdon Community
Art Show 2004 in Forest Hill, VIC.
Her work is represented in selected galleries in Victoria, with Main Street
Gallery in Montville being Echo's only Queensland outlet.Galleries:
