The paintings this artist produces are mostly figurative genre work, (sometimes with a touch of humour, satire or whimsy) they are executed in varying mediums, as she enjoys experimenting with the use of a caricature drawings and ink portraits. Her subjects often are drawn from another time or place. In the main, she enjoys the use of oils, and oil pastels, usually in combination with ink or acrylic, or even with a tar or shellac.
Deann hopes to continue her artistic endeavours, always keen to expand her techniques, and vary her style. Most importantly she hopes to bring enjoyment to those who view or collect her work.
