"The
Restless Years" is the second instalment of my on going visual biography
which was preceded by "The Early Years". I have included some paintings
of my childhood for continuity.
Like my meeting with Namatjira (See painting
No 4 - "Finding Albert") my meeting with Jon Molvig in the early
sixties turned my life around and set me off on a course of discovery,
re- evaluation of my life style and artistic directions. Molvig became
my mentor and we were close friends until he died in 1972. He was a great
man, a great painter, a generous and loyal friend and I have dedicated
this Exhibition to his memory.
