Ken Bonner

Continuing my passion to paint, I moved to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland Australia at the begining of 2010. What a wonderful area this is, so full of new stimulus, the painting opportunities are endless. I am excited by the prospect of the next chapter in my journey and the very satisfying creations I anticipate producing in the period ahead.

Prior to 2010 I was living in La Paz, Mexico for the last 4 years. The rich beauty and colour of the Baja privided fantastic inspiration for painting and helped me develop my technique significantly. I was fortunate enough to have the Tres Virgenes Gallery dedicated full time, soley to my work. I produced many commissions and large works during this period.

When in New Zealand before this I held 7 solo exhibtions, displayed at many Northland / Auckland galleries and was fortunate to have sold all works produced there.

My approach / style is unique. It has been described as "impressionistic realism". Each piece produced is highly original and is a creation, evolving during many layers of application. I start with a vision/concept and then let it take on its own life. I strive to stimulate and please the eye through composition and colour impact.

I work predominantly in oils, love big canvases and vibrant colour.

My work is presently held in private collections in Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Scotland & USA.

I believe painting should be fun, challenging and produce a Wow! factor when viewed and appraised. I hope that my work continues for your lifetime to be a feast for your eyes, heart, mind and soul.
